Personal information
Ambassador Bui Van Nghi, born in 1970 in Bac Ninh, Vietnam. Over the past 30 years, he has held many important positions at the Americas Department, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, in charge of people-to-people diplomacy and other work of the organization.
Education
Graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration from the International University of America (IAU) in 2010.
Graduated with a Master's degree in Human Rights Law, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in 2018.
Graduated from Advanced Political Theory at Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in 2006.
Use English fluently.
Career
He was appointed by President Vo Van Thuong as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Federal Republic of Brazil, concurrently with the Republic of Peru, the Multi-national State of Bolivia, the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the Republic of Surinam in June 2023.
From 2013 to 2022, he held the positions of Deputy Head of the Americas Department, Head of the Americas Department, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
Rewards
During his time working in the country, Ambassador Bui Van Nghi received many noble awards:
- Third-class Labor Medal awarded by the President "for outstanding achievements in work from 2016 - 2020, contributing to building Socialism and protecting the Fatherland".
- Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister "for achievements in work from 2009-2013, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland".
- Certificate of Merit from the Head of the Government's Steering Committee on Human Rights for "outstanding achievements in Human Rights work in 2013".
- Medal "For peace and friendship among peoples" of the Vietnam Friendship Organization Union in 2005.
- Certificate of Merit from the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations "for outstanding achievements in performing professional tasks in 2013".
